In February 2006, China State Council, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Land Resource together announced the approval of Shanghai Min-hang Development Zone¡¯s expansion zone in Lingang (hereinafter as Lingang Development Zone). It is a state-level zone with total size of 13.3
Sq km. This approval triggered the beginning of Lingang Development Zone.
Shanghai Minhang Economic & Technological Development Zone was established in 1983, and it is one of two earliest development zones in Shanghai and also one of 14 national ¨C level development zones approved by State Council. Minhang Development Zone has become high land using, modern manufacture gathering and high industry efficiency after 20 years¡¯ development. Minhang Economic Development Zone is also becoming extrovert and modern industry zone with good investment environment and competition capacity. The tax payment and sales income of Minhang Development Zone are the first and the third among all development zones in China. Many national leaders have inspected the zone and gave good commends on the achievement.
